Built-in or central vacuums don't require you to carry a heavy unit from room to room or up and down stairs. The dirt and debris is picked up via a lightweight hose and power brush unit and sent through tubing located in the walls to a receptacle in your garage, basement or other out of the way location. You only have to empty the receptacle every 3 months or so on average.
In a built-in or central vacuum system, inlets are installed at convenient locations throughout your home. Then instead of lugging a portable vacuum from room to room and hoping that the power cord is long enough, you simple connect the central vacuum hose from inlet to inlet. For the kitchen and other areas, you can even install an automatic dustpan to let you quickly sweep debris into a wall vent using an ordinary broom.
You can install the built-in or central vacuum system yourself or Bridge Vacuum Cleaning Supply can do it for you. We have the knowledge and experience to professionally install your system. We will install the central power unit in an out-of-the-way area that you specify (of course we will recommend the best location for you). Then we will install wall inlet valves throughout the house. Again, we will determine the best inlet placement based on our experience. The inlet valves will connect to the power unit through tubing that we will run through the attic, basement or cold air returns in the house. If your house has a roughed in system, we can simply use that instead.
Once we’ve installed the system, you can use it simply by plugging in the lightweight vacuum hose and power brush unit into a wall inlet. No running to the power unit to turn it on and off. Everything is controlled at your fingertips. The system will carry the debris, dust and dirt through the tubing to the power unit where it will be collected in a canister or central vacuum bag.
Maintenance consists of emptying the canister or replacing the central vacuum bags and changing filters. That’s it!
